Getting the proper size of the bike is very importand and if it is your first bike you should pay extra attention to it. The right sized bike will be more comfortable, more efficient and more fun to ride.
Even experienced cyclists find it tricky to when choosing the right size frame as it depends on many factors like: type of bike, your height and your riding style.
Below you will find general explanation for eeach bike type. It is only a guide and we recommend visiting our store for test ride or contacting our staff on + 353 - 1 - 4632270 if still in doubt.
What is Inseam?
The most important factor when choosing the frame size is your Inside Leg lenght(inseam). Basically it is distance from the floor to the highest possible crotch position.
How to measure your inseam?
The best way to do it is to undress (baggy or wide cut trousers, shoes cause mistakes) and find the highest possible crotch position. For this purpose you can use spirit level or even book, but remember it has to be completely horizontal. Measure the distance from the top of the spirit level (or the book) to the ground. If having problems ask somebody for help. For accuracy, repeat the measurement several times and calculate the average.
